Good material, I bought this dress for my mom and I'm satisfiedI bought this "Mother of the Groom" dress, in the black/white version, and I couldn't be more thrilled! It is just perfect! The beading is stunning, and I love the cap sleeves. I read the reviews, and did go a size up, but had to return that one and made an exchange for the smaller (Size 10) size. I'm 5'5" and the length was exactly where I wanted it to fall -- just above the ankle, and even with a kitten heel shoe, it is just right. Sizing is always tricky when you order online -- I think this fits true to size. I took advantage of the Prime "Try Before You Buy" feature (1st time I did that) and for a formal dress like this, that was a nice option.Beadwork is beautiful. Overall the gown is gorgeous and very well made. Worth every penny and more! The blue was not available in 8P, so I bought the 8. That was a mistake. The 8 is about 2 .5 in. longer from the shoulders to the waist. I know this because I bought the black in 8P and measured it to the blue. This makes sense, since a petite size will accommodate a shorter frame. As I said with the black dress review, I am about 5ft. 2 in. tall. Measurements are 35, 31, 38, about 117 lbs. Being older, I have a little stomach, that will not be gone before my son's wedding. I never know what size to buy. This is why I am giving you my measurements. Surprised, but I will still have to hem the petite gown, but the dress fits in the body. Don't be afraid to buy and return. Amazon makes it easy. I was afraid, as I never bought anything expensive on line before. Over a year ago I received size 14, but the fit was too big. Just recently I purchased size 12 from that same shop. The gown fit perfectly and was gorgeous. Unfortunately, there was a sensor tag attached to the bottom of the zipper. Customer service was very polite, but unable to resolve the removal of the tag. Dress had to be returned. I searched every website for the dress and located it on Amazon. Prior to ordering on Amazon I checked with their customer service on sensor tags. They assured me that all sensor tags are removed before shipped. Gown received and fit perfect. No odd tag attached. For those wondering what size to purchase. I normally wear size 14 by this designer. The gown fit much looser, so size 12 worked for me. This gown is gorgeous / stunning.
